LumaForge Announces that Former Apple Pro Video Manager, Steve Bayes, Invests in Company and is on its Board of Advisors
Seattle, WA—December 12, 2018—LumaForge, a leader in video collaboration, today announced that world-renowned video editing expert Steve Bayes has made a significant financial investment in LumaForge and will also be the first member of its Board of Advisors. Bayes previously served as a senior product manager for Apple’s professional video editing applications, including Final Cut Pro X, for more than 12 years. He has been at the center of the design, development and marketing of digital video editing systems for almost 30 years. Critical to the development of professional video editing on computers, he helped create some of the most popular editing systems for all film and video production including the Oscar® winning Avid Media Composer.

More About Steve Bayes’ Career at Apple
In 2006, Bayes joined Apple as the senior product manager for its professional editing application Final Cut Pro X (FCPX). He and his team worked at the center of professional video software development and marketing at Apple. Bayes helped create a worldwide network of partners, trainers and developers, worked with resellers and managed presentations at large industry trade shows such as NAB and IBC.
Bayes also helped develop emerging media technology and directed the marketing and release of Apple’s video formats, Pro Res and Pro Res RAW, which have become recording and broadcast standards worldwide.
