Last winter we received a call from one of the biggest broadcasters in Europe, RTS (Swiss National Television) who were desperate for a shared storage solution that would allow them to stay on the Final Cut platform. For two years they tried nearly ever major storage vendor looking for something that could meet their needs; all the while on an OSX update freeze due to their aging XSan's compatibility limitations.
About to give up, and resigned to the fact that they'd have to soon move the entire company to Avid or Premiere they sent us, a small storage startup in LA their media and asked us to perform a demo... less than 2 months later our team flew to Geneva and installed a 160TB ShareStation Enterprise for RTS.
This massive deployment was a first of it's kind and an in depth case study is currently featured on the front page of fcp.co, the world's largest Final Cut community website. We are extremely grateful RTS was willing to take a chance on us, even if we were the last one's they called =)
Head over to fcp.co to read the entire case study.
