Chicago Summer Stories

This innovative program that took 12 high school students from Chicago, gave them iPhones and Macs, provided some technical training and sent them into the field to make documentaries. Each team had to navigate both the challenges of filmmaking and collaboration under intense deadlines. Over the course of only five weeks they shot, edited and delivered three amazing films using affordable off the shelf equipment available to anyone. See below the finished documentaries showing Generation Z contributions to Chicago life and culture in Activism, Innovation and Arts and Music.
